Matylda Wierietielny is an award-winning Polish filmmaker based in the UK since 2008. She moved onto documentary filmmaking after completing an undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Hispanic Studies at Aberdeen University with a first degree, followed by the renowned MA in Visual Anthropology at the Granada Center, University of Manchester.

 

Matylda's approach to film and video production exhibits a strong sense for aesthetics. She experiments with composition, contrasts and visual metaphors while ensuring that the filming style is well suited for each and every individual film or video project. She enjoys working as part of a team of highly motivated individuals to produce high quality promo videos, music videos, as well as documentary and short films. In her free time she dances salsa or watches hundreds of short videos on Vimeo.
